Almost every bad candle is one number, decided before it was poured.
Get Custom Candles pours to order — soy jars, seamless tins, pillars and votives, wood wicks, full private label programmes and deliberately unscented ranges.

That number is the wick size, and it is calculated against three things: the internal diameter of the vessel, the wax, and how much fragrance oil is in it.
Undersize it and the flame cannot reach the glass. The candle burns a narrow shaft straight down, and most of the wax somebody paid for is never used. Oversize it and the wick mushrooms, smokes, blackens the vessel and runs it hotter than it should ever get.
Neither is fixable after pouring. So we calculate it, then test burn every new combination of wick, wax, fragrance load and vessel before it goes into production.
Why we exist
Candles are bought on fragrance and vessel, from suppliers who ask about both and about nothing else.
So the candle tunnels. The tin gets too hot to pick up because the wick was borrowed from a glass spec. The wood wick will not stay lit. And the bestseller quietly changes character between batches because nobody wrote the specification down.
Fragrance has a ceiling, and past it more is worse
Every wax has a maximum percentage of fragrance oil it will genuinely hold. It is a physical limit, not a house rule.
Push past it and the oil does not bind. It sweats out onto the surface, the candle looks greasy in the jar, the flame behaves badly, and the hot throw gets WEAKER rather than stronger. We pour to the ceiling and stop, and we will say so when a brief asks for more.
Cure time is real and we build it into the date
Soy wax needs days in the jar for the fragrance to bind properly. The same candle smells noticeably different on day one and on day seven.
That is why we do not ship early to hit a date, and why a sample sniffed the moment it is poured will give you the wrong answer about the product you are buying.
What we actually make
Soy jars with the wick sized to the vessel and the burn time measured rather than estimated. Seamless tins, wicked for metal rather than borrowed from a jar spec. Harder-blend pillars that hold their shape, and votives for volume work. Wood wicks with the width matched tightly and the trim instruction printed on the label. Private label programmes with a documented specification per SKU. And unscented ranges for dining rooms, treatment rooms and places of worship.
Safety wording goes on every label as standard, not on request.
How we price
No dollar figures on this site. Price moves with wax, vessel, fragrance, wick, labelling and quantity, and it falls steeply at retail and hospitality volumes. Send the brief and a real quote comes back the same day, with a lowest-price guarantee if you are already holding a cheaper one.
What we will tell you before you commit
That your fragrance load is above what the wax will hold. That a fragrance-led brief wants a jar rather than a pillar. That a lightly scented candle should not be sold as strongly scented.
Each of those conversations costs us an upsell and saves you a return.
