FAQ

Questions buyers ask before ordering

What is the minimum order?
Our minimum order is just 12 candles — enough for a small launch or a table plan — with bulk tiers that drop steeply at retail and hospitality quantities.
How fast will my candles arrive?
Your free sample lands quickly and production candles ship in about 2 weeks after approval. Soy needs a cure period in the jar before it smells the way it will smell, and we build that into the date rather than shipping early.
Why does a candle tunnel?
The wick is too small for the vessel diameter, so the flame cannot melt the wax out to the glass. It is a sizing calculation made before pouring, and it cannot be corrected afterwards.
Does the first burn really matter?
Yes. Burn until the melt pool reaches the edge all the way round, usually two to three hours. Wax has a memory, and a candle first burned for twenty minutes will tunnel for the rest of its life.
Can I just add more fragrance for a stronger scent?
No — every wax has a ceiling on how much oil it will hold. Past it the oil sweats out, the throw gets worse rather than stronger and the flame misbehaves. We pour to the ceiling, not past it.
What is cure time and why does it delay things?
Soy wax needs days in the jar for the fragrance to bind properly. A candle sniffed on day one smells different from the same candle a week later, so testing early gives you the wrong answer.
How long will my candle burn?
We state the burn time per vessel size rather than estimating it, because it is measured during the test burns we do on every new wick and vessel combination.
What safety wording goes on the label?
Trim the wick before each burn, burn on a heat-resistant surface, never leave a burning candle unattended, keep away from children, pets and draughts, and stop burning when a set depth of wax remains.
